Tyre Pressures?

Can anyone confrim the tyre pressures are correct in the Meriva handbook for the Z16 LET engine in the VXR. My handbook states 42psi for the fronts and 38 for the rears (205/45/17). Seems high to me?

Yup, seems right. You can try to drop the fronts to 40 or 38psi, helped for me. Less noise and the car feels less nervous on uneven road. Too little pressure will make the tyre bend when cornering hard and it also makes the rims more vulnerable to bumps & portholes so better not drop the pressure too much.
