Hi everyone! Merry Christmas to you all even if it does seem an age since yesterdays pressies and Christmas dinner!
I've been driving a ....wait for it... Ford Fiesta 1.1 Finesse for 3 years - company car. So two weeks ago, I had my review with my boss and after an incredible eight months of blood, sweat and tears, (honest!!) the outcome was a decent payrise and my boss saying...'oh and you need to renew your car next year (it was bought on a three year deal which expired February 2008) - and get yourself a decent one this time'
I literally live opposite a Vauxhall dealer who had been showing an Astra VXR for a couple of weeks. Not one to not do as Im told as far as the boss is concerned, I immediately went over and got a price, then their best price, then their best offer etc, all the time e.mailing my boss with the lastest prices.
Could hardly believe he was going along with it and honestly though I would get into work on the Monday and he would say 'No way' or 'You dont need anything like that' but he just said 'Are we getting their best deal?'
The finance was all signed up on 21st December and I can collect it on the 1st January !!! Am I bothered about not going out on the pop New Years Eve? Am I hell!!!
