its the HSV W427 (7.0-litre V8 and 500bhp) and a bit of a tribute to Mr Walkinshaw.
Expecting to be priced up towards $150,000 Aus (the VXR8/clubsport is about $75,000 Aus)
this thing is going to be the daddy of the HSV stables and supercar status so not quiet a VXR8

75,000-80,000.

Have to say an M5 and change would probably be more tempting at that price.

I'd bet if it went into production the side exit exhausts would go along with the harness's but stand to be corrected.

Ie I hope it does get made.

Agreed... And If Holden Put it into Production i would even buy one.

Im not sure if your all aware but the Monaro Started as a Concept. The demand and pressure from the Australian Public and And Motoring Magazines brought the Commodore Coupe to the Production car known as the Monaro to life in just under two years.

I do believe that the Coupe 60 is based on the Zeta Platform which makes its Production basis easy to develop into a Production vehicle.

The W427 now is something thats been in the romour mill from HSV. Although the Wheels and Motor Magazines in Australia Speculated that it would be of the GTS-R branding which would have been more of a V8 Supercar look.

W427 was romoured for released @ the Sydney Motorshow in October 2007 but HSV released a 20th Ann Editon Clubsport R8. 100 units to be built. At the time i thought it was a little bit of a let down. But in True HSV form they have pulled something special out of there bag of tricks.
