Astra VXR meet first round BTCC Brands April 9th

To all my fellow astra VXR people
following a great idea from Jonathan (Chins) regarding an astra VXR meet at a BTCC meet i have put it forward to Stu Harris for some support and its looking very very good (privilege parking etc etc), the first race takes place on the 9th April (so plenty of time to organise your diary) at Brands Hatch. What i am after is all your help to make this happen and get the word out to other astra VXR owners (other VXR varients are also welcome). We will be looking at approx up to 100 cars in attendence.
This is still at an early stage but we would like to get an idea of who will be keen to attend and i will pass it back to Stu.

Brands Hatch is situated on the A20 near West Kingsdown, just 3 miles from Junction 3 of the M25. It is also linked via the A20 to the M20 and M26 motorways.

Parking sorted , we have a 100 car area allocated to us in 'little yellow'
which is as you get to the main gates its right behind the trade stands.
Stu is sorting a discounted ticket price for us, more will be know beginning of March

Well done all looking like a great day.
We currently have 50 VXR's of all varients (well just about)
from 4 vauxhall sites/clubs ( www.vxrregister.com, www.vxronline.co.uk, www.VX220.org.uk and www.astra-sri.co.uk) we have parking space for 100 VXR's.
Total Vauxhall mag have shown some interest in the meet so thats something else and will be in attendance.

i now need peoples input into a place to have a pre meet that is easy to find for everyone and close to Brands Hatch, i have suggested Bluewater shopping centre but a few have said that its not practical from the direction they are traveling, a nice 40 plus car convoy into Brands would make a presence

after having a chat with Stu, I have been recommended we arrive as early as possibly due to the heavy traffic that builds up on the M25 to access Brands Hatch, so we will need to arrive around 0830 earlier if possible (i know for some thats going to be a very early departure from home) some have booked a room at the Holiday Inn which is currently running a special of £10 a night up until the end of April if that will help anyone, we are going to be looking at a 0730 pre meet in a few designated areas that Chris (B055 VXR) is looking into that will make it easy for everyone, im sorry its so early but being a motor event it attract alot of people and we dont want to be sitting in our cars for up until an hour trying to get in, feel free to put forward and suggestions, i will do what i can to help you all out, closer to the event i will email about my mobile number.

Just been on the holiday inn site. The £10 per room offers at Greenhithe are with travelodge not the holiday inn.
Checked with travelodge and there are no £10 rooms left for Sat 8th April.
So I have just booked with Holiday Inn at Bexeley which is 10min from Bluewater , just off A2. Room rate is £58 per night inc breakfast.
Alternat..you can try the holiday inn express at Greenhithe which is £50 per night inc breakfast.

All names and addresses have been submitted to vauxhall
who will be supplying for Brands Hatch a car park pass for 'Little Yellow' ( just to the left of the main entrance ) and 1 entry ticket per car.
Tickets and car passes will be sent out end of next week.
Im sorry but no more can apply for entry tickets and car passes.

Further to a request from Aussie/Stu, we have been asked to be at Brands Hatch by 8am.
All the departure times have now been updated so please check your departure point but basically, all times have been shifted to leave 15 minutes earlier than previously stated.

tickets are being sent out this week which will also contain a map and the gate entrance for the little yellow which is right near the trade stands, try to be there for 0800 if possible as after this time it will take you over an hour to get from the m25 to the track

ok people just over a week to go to the big event
i need people to start adding to a list where they are leaving from and what meeting point they will be attending for convoy to Kent so others know who will be with them, your tickets are on the way and wil also include a map of brands and what gate we will be entering (The car park is North East of Gate H) a large number of us will be meeting at Bluewater shopping centre at 0730 for a departure time of 0745 for arrival at Brand Hatch by 0800, for thos of you heading straight to the venue please make your way to the designated entry gate

"update"
i have just received word from Andrew Duerden Vauxhall Motorsport,
We are required to be parked in our designated infield parking area by 0855 at the latest, after this time you will be religated to general parking as Brands Hatch has a strict poilcy of no vehicluar movements on site after a specific time, after some consideration, they have given us a bit of slack with 8.55am. 0800 IS THE ARRIVAL TIME WE WONT TO ACHIEVE.
Tickets, car pass and map will be sent out this afternoon by recorded first class, if you have not received your ticket by mid next week and were on the list please contact me asap

If so, myself and a mate may be staying at the Travel Inn there ready for the trip up to Brands. Unfortunately neither of us have a VXR (yet!!), but my mate is taking his flame red SR style Nova, lol!

For those of you joining us for the convoy from Bluewater to Brands, Chris (B055VXR) and Gavin (gavvxr) have set up a nice country lane route that should see a nice straight forward convoy to Brands Hatch, during the transit Chris has a friend who will be setting up a video camera and taking still pics as we make our way so the more to join us the better i say.
Meeting point at Bluewater - top floor House of Fraser car park
Wayne (240bhp) has kindly outlayed a direction plan to enable people to find the HoF carpark coming of the M25
From the M25
Take Junc 2 of the M25 for the A2 Eastbound towards Canterbury.
Once on the A2 heading East take the next junction, B255 for Bluewater. (sign says Greenhithe, Bluewater, Bean)
As you turn off on to the slip road, stick to the left hand lane and follow the road round to the left at the roundabout on to the B255 towards Bluewater.
Remain in the left hand lane as the road goes downhill. This will lead you towards the Shopping Centre Car Parks.
Stick to this lane. Do not turn off. Continue on this road until you get to a roundabout.
Go straight on at that roundabout. You will shortly come to the second roundabout. Go straight at that one too.
If you are still in the left hand lane, this will automatically take you left to the house of Fraser car park ("Cinema" written on the road.)
Once again, sticking to the left hand lane, by now you will be able to see House of Fraser in front of you. Continue towards the ramp going "up" to the top car park floor.
Once on the top floor, take the first right and park up.

Event day tomorrow people :D
for those of you joining the convoy from Bluewater 0730 meet for a 0745 departure, our transit to Brands will take us through some country lanes where we have someone set up with a video camera and digital still as we come through a sweeping bend :D we should be arriving approx 0805 for parking in the "little yellow" infield display area.
For those not joining us but meeting at Brands Hatch please remember we need to be parked in the designated areas before 0855 or your car will be religated to the general parking area outside of the field, if you arrive before the convoy you can make your way to the parking zone.
