Yes it's true... We were on standby in North Walsham on a rainy day last week so we popped into our local tuners and they happily modified our ambulance!!
The first and only modified ambulance out there! Keep your eyes out for it on the streets of Norfolk!!

The only mod I've done to mine, was by stupidly thinking that the ambulance would fit under the covered patient entrance at St Georges hospital Lincoln.
It took off the extractor fan and housing, and made the patient jump somewhat too.
Estates had to come out to remove the height warning sign to free us, LOL
It got us two hours off the road tho so wasn't all bad, and a cup of tea from the unit at the hospital that we hit.

They roll enough as it is (well our McNellie bodies do), so that must of been fun to handle!

They handle alot better with the asr off, as I find it cuts the power too harshly causing more lean angles.
We are meant to be getting some new 5 ton V6's soon, have you got any yet?

Could you not let the air out of the tyres to drop it? ;)

Would have struggled to pump them back up again to be honest thinking about it, but to be honest, we didn't think of that at the time, I was doing my best stopping my crew mate from pi**ing himself laughing

WHAT! This is EMAS we are talking about. We are the poor relations to Notts, Derby and Leic.
Any new trucks go the them, and these seem to be the new Mercs that are now automatics!!
My rig for the next two days is and old X reg merc with the Marshall body, manual lift stretcher and and engine thats done over 331,000 miles.

We still have some v and x's with mega miles. I was on a 51 plate with 414000 on the clock the other day (Cromer's old bus).:o We should have been getting new motors in June management promised us - but they didnot say which year.
