OK folks, has anyone got this wonderful machine. I would be interested in your comments on it. More to the point how does it feel and go over the old GSi. The most interesting thing I would like to know is as to the grip and handling. How well does the IDS/CDC system work.

Not yet but is due on 1st March - I hope - apparently went into production 3 weeks ago!
Happy to post views when I've got my hands on it....

I too am looking forward to taking delivery of my new Zafira VXR "black beast" on the 1st March. Don't know if my wife is so keen :(
Having had a couple of test drives with a very understanding local Vauxhall dealership and I just can't wait !!!!!!!!

hi all just joined and my first post ordered my zaffy vxr last month and will take delivery march 1st. seen it already it looks superb. arden blue with the 19inch alloys. cant wait to take it for a spin. would love to hear from anyone who has one already and what it is like to drive 8)

Hi everyone, Getting mine on the 1st March too. being delivered am. Orderded this as my company car. Getting Black with full Leather interior, can't wait to see if its faster than my Mini Cooper S Works !

Seems my Zafira VXR is still stuck in Zeebrugge and has been for some time.
Somewhat frustrationg having ordered it August last year for a March '06 delivery and partcularly annoying as my dealer has received another Zafira VXR that was ordered after mine.
Apparently, according to Vauxhall logistics, it has been 'prioritised' but this was 2 weeks ago and now unable to get a confirmed delivery date or definitive response from the dealer or Vauxhall!!!
I thought the problem with the VXR range was building the vehicles but mine has been built (apparently) but now can't manage to get on a ferry bound for the UK!!
Anyone having delivery issues with these vehicles?

Mines here thankfully, sat in a compound at Swindon awaiting collection on the 1st March.
Hopefully will get some pics of it up on the forum soonest !!!

Thanks to the stupendous support and efforts of one member, my Zafira VXR left Zeebrugge yesterday and should now, with a good tail wind, be in the UK and at the dealers very soon.
Look forward to seeing your pictures and reading your views.

Just got my baby and bin for a spin. Good handling but the av miles per gallon is a bit scary.

hi all been out for a spin and very chuffed. had astra 1.8 sri before which did 0 to 60 in 8.5 seconds and i thought that the zaffy at 7.2 seconds would be quicker but didnt think it would be to noticeable but i was very wrong. put your foot down and when the turbos kicks in it justs wants to keep pulling. got to get used to changing gears though but it will come in time. bet the astra vxr would go some being a second quicker than the zaffy.to summarise my astra was quick but the zaffy is like a verocious beast (sorry cant spell)

I have to agree and say that the Zafira really wants to pull.
I'm being a bit gentle with mine til its clocked its 1st thousand or so miles then will be able to put it through its paces a bit !!!! :shock:

Hi my name's mark and we live just out side of Kidlington, Oxford , We brought back in 05 a nice blue gsi Zafira from
Norh Yorkshire, with 2000 mile's on the clock. With full black leather, geat we
thought, until shortly after, we found out that the new replacement model
was soon heading for our shore's, well that was it , goodbye gsi , px in the
gsi for the new vxr. So today i pop into our local heartwell dealer, and what good timing ,it had been just off loaded, with another silver vxr.
So, the sale's man showed me around the car, all cool ready to go on monday, So i'll keep you in formed, with photo's ect... £28 K Fully loaded

did you order 19" wheel's aswell, if it's your car it look's sharpe in silver.
Silver Bullet and Bule Blur, well i went up there today a took some spy
shot's, with all the import sticker's ect over them, i reckon they might have a sly deal with the cheap way. know dout you've hered about how
cheap you can get them for in Belguim, Because our vxr's had lots of sticker's of Belguim dealer inpection's on them, all english spec's of course
i shall inquire............eny let's keep in touch and have a good weekend

Yep 19" wheels were ordered - I'll be picking it up at 12:00 today.
I'll be happy to jot some initial thoughts and comparisons against the Zafira GSI - it's being handed back as part Xchange - my son has just gone to school waving goodbye to it!!

Just seen this thread and thought id let you know that i live in Germany and being British over here i can pick a brand spanker Zaffy up for just over 16k standerd on the road, I know this as i have allready started the ball rolling in ordering mine, all though I will probably pay a tad more for a few extra's like 19"s (Cant Wait) :D.
