Due to me hitting 25 years old i now have the use of a company car. At the time of purchase i intended to keep this car for at least three years(hence the amount of options)

It pains me to say this, but it seems that the sensible thing to do is to sell it.

I have owned it from new. It is in superb condition inside and out, as you can see from the photos. This is the second Astra VXR i have owned and im a VXR/Vauxhall enthusiast so i know how treat them and care for them properly.

The car has just hit eight months old and 4532 miles, Its a November 57 plate, it still has 2 years and 4 months vauxhall warranty remaining. It was run in carefully in the way recomended by Thorney Motorsport for the best balance between performance and engine longevity. Its a solid car with no dents, chips or rattles.

The car has the following factory fitted options:

CDC70 Sat Nav with colour display
Adaptive forward lighting Xenons
19" Alloy upgrade MY08 BI-colour(diamond cut faces/anthracite inner)
Blutooth Phone conectivity with voice dialling
Parking sensors
Automatic headlights, Rain sensitive wipers and Auto dimming rear view mirror.
Electric folding door mirriors
Cruise control
Star silver metallic paint
These options total £4100 list price.

As with all MY08 onward cars it has the Keyless entry with Push button start and MP3 Aux in jack as standard.

The car has irmscher mats and a stainless high flow down pipe fitted and is standard apart from this(i still have the original down pipe) It has only ever been run on Shell V-Power and Tesco T-99 without exception.

I feel a little stupid saying this but i have spent over £400 on detailing stuff for this car. Waxes, sealents, microfibres, foam lance, Meguires G220 detailing machine, pads, wheel brushes etc. etc. the list goes on. Im really into my detailing and am a member of Detailing World, i think this is reflected in the condition of the paint.

The car is currently wearing two layers of CG's 50:50 LTD Edition paste wax over a layer of EZ cream glaze. The wheels are always cleaned inside and out along with the calipers and sealed.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f116/Shadbor/DSC01946.jpg

As a guide:
The car total including options was £23,458.
I took the £2000 FDA and managed to haggle another £600 off.
So the car cost £20,858 when i picked it up after all deductions. The car has no outstanding finance. All paperwork relating to the car is filed and in order.

I'm in the Bedforshire/Luton area.

Please pm with any questions or enquiries. I have taken photos of every wheel, every side of the car and the interior, if you would like any more from any other angles just let me know and i will be happy to post them.

yeah i go running down there sometimes, i brought my first one from motorbodies, but when i was looking at my second one they were trying to take the p!ss on the px they were offering, so i drove down to marshalls of hitchin and they offered me £1500 more than motorbodies on the px. i dont need to tell you who got my custom:lol:, there was a really good bloke called Stuart Devan who was the salesman, best ive ever come across. motorbodies have some sales people who have a strange way of talking to customers down there, to be fair they did me a good deal on my first one with cash, but dealing with px they were far from competitive.

I know what you mean my dad has had some trouble with the service in motorbodies. I went down there to look for a corsa but they were less than helpful, dont think i'll be gettin a VXR from them to be honest. But you never know in a year of two (when i can actually afford the insurance) things might have changed, the sales guys might actually wana help me if I work there. ;)

I recomend marshalls of hitchin for sales and the best deals, but your always going to have the problem of poor after service with any vauxhall dealer if you have any problems unfortunately, however we are lucky enough to have Thorney HQ just three junctions up the M1, they know how to care for people and their cars;)

hell of a car mate and what a price. I feel such a mug, i bought my car this time last month from a dealer. Exactly the same as yours 57 plate in silver with the sat nav etc just no parking sensors AFL xenons and phone prep and mine was a ex demo so had done 7k and i paid £17500 if only i was a month later or you were a month earlier cos we would of both been happy - Gutted:(.

Good luck with the sale

I've never been into the hitchin one but i'm looking to get a different car soon so might be worth a trip. Then on the way home a little diversion to Thorney's lol....

you were never to know though mate, i didn't even know i was going to be selling it two months ago.

the star silver does look class with the MY08 19's, i thought it was a great contrast when i ordered it.

dont be gutted though, you still have a class car, and your keeping yours. im the gutted one.

Ok this IS going to go very very soon.

Because i cant be bothered to hold out for a fair price. Its now up at £14,500 I think its fair to say for this sort of money you will NOT get an astra VXR newer, with as low mileage, as many options and as in superb condition anywhere.(unless its had crash damage)

Its a shame to do it and i will be loosing a hell of a lot of money but its the only way its going to go.

Thats about £6500 off the post FDA price in 8 months.

Nah, I know you're not able to... But this price is making me cry! I'll just have to try and make myself feel better in that it's silver, which isn't the colour I want...

But DAMN! I didn't realise they were losing this much money. Keeps making me wonder... That, or you're selling far too cheap!

At 14,500 its at silly money now, its got every must have option in my honest opinion. I priced it so low so it goes without doubt, Its not going to be driven as of next week either so its going to be sitting there mint for the next owner, people even comented how well it was priced when i put it up at £15,850.
