Hi again guys,
i took the time this afternoon to write a little "how-to" on assembling and fitting your EVOMS diverter valve, available only through Regal Autosport.
If you are lucky enough to have got one at a discount price through the group buy skip to step 6... we have pre-assembled your batch of diverter valves
If not, read on... overall its not a particularily difficult task but it is quite fiddly, so take your time and get it right.
These are the components of your kit -
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0128.JPG
Step 1: assembling your kit.
Take your top hat (this will be the red or black anodized part with the evoms logo engraved) Fit the slightly smaller of the two largest o rings into the machined groove.
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0131.JPG
Step 2: Take the two small, fat, o rings and place them in the machined ridges in the piston housing. Take care to get them seated well.

http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0135.JPG
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0138.JPG
Step 3: Take your piston and lubricate it, you dont need alot of grease - just enough to add a thin film to the outside.
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0139.JPG
And place the piston into the piston housing, move it in and out a few times to ensure a smooth operation.
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0142.JPG
Step 4: Now place the spring into its seat inside the piston.
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0146.JPG
Step 5: now mate the two halfs of the diverter valve
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0148.JPG
I find it easiest to grab three nuts to wind onto the bolts supplied just to give your hands a break, otherwise you have to keep the two halves together somehow.
With this done you can now fit the remaining two o rings. Be carefull as they might slip off as you carry the valve about, please ensure they are fitted when you come to fit the valve to the turbo!
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0149.JPG
Step 6: Fitting your diverter valve.
If you wanted this could be done before you assemble your EVOMS valve, just depends which way you would rather.
Use a 5mm allen key to remove the stock blow off valve.

http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0152.JPG
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0153.JPG
With the valve removed you can see your old diaphragm design.

http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0155.JPG
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0156.JPG
Step 7: With the valves side by side you can see the obvious advantages of the EVOMS diverter valve. Air is only vented by the piston in the direction of natural flow. This improves throttle response greatly!
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0157.JPG
Install your valve taking car to angle the diverter outlet 'up' the inlet pipe - towards the sky! (this is the pipe that attaches to your airbox/flowmaster)
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0158.JPG
Now fix it in place with the bolts.
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0160.JPG
http://www.vag-tuner.com/vauxhall/Evoms_DV/DSC_0162.JPG
And there you have it! Now go out and enjoy! :p
Note: Pictures are taken with turbocharger off the car, for photography purposes only - i would just like to make clear you should NOT take your turbo off to fit the EVOMS diverter valve.
Regal Autosport take no responsibility for any fitment issues due to following this guide. I have taken care to detail every step you need - if you have any further questions give us a call on 02380558636 and we can answer them.
Hope you find the guide usefull and it makes some of your lives a little easier :p

cheers regal, but whats the best thing to use on the O'rings to keep them in place while you insert it into the turbo, as i don't think it would be good if the little O'ring was to drop into the turbo:-|.
would a little oil or greece be ok?

when i say they slip off i mean if your carrying it abound swinging it about
just wanted to make ppl aware and didnt want anyone to end up loosing them :p
but yea if you wanted to be uber-cautious a lil bit of grease would do the trick

Hi Ryan
sorry for not getting back to you quickly , been on me hols this week :D
Now you make this look so easy above , so this is to aid the above instructions now with the turbo on the engine :surprised:!! :D)
step 1 . look at your hands if there bigger than 120mm across and 200mm long LET SOMEONE ELSE DO IT !! oh and if you have some kind of wrist protection USE IT .
step 2 . weapons of choice 5mm and 4mm . i had one of each that i ground down as you will need it for the one bolt obstructed by the air-con .
http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/ff360/vxr-blacksheep/04082008495.jpg
step 3 . unclip wire conector and take pipe off DV and if you have a torque drive i would also take the block off that holds the pipes and other end of the wire you just disconected off the bracket that surounds the DV. ( i didn t and it would of made a big difference  ) and yes i forgot to take the first pics of when the standard DV was on DOH.
http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/ff360/vxr-blacksheep/04082008479.jpg
step 4 . once you have the standard one off with the 5mm allen (which may involve a few swear words ) you can now see the differance . as far as the 2 o-rings ( 1 big and 1 small that sit inside the turbo and on the face of the DV which seel the faces ) i put 4 dabs of supa-glue 90 degrees to each other as you do not want this flying round the turbo for the brief life that it and the turbo and possibly on to the engin may and probably will have . And apart form the DV being fiddly to fit is the only other reason i would get a garage/tuner to fit it .
http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/ff360/vxr-blacksheep/04082008482.jpg
and pic of turbo with it off ( front of the car to the right )
http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/ff360/vxr-blacksheep/04082008487.jpg
step 5 . now for the fun part .
i put the bottom half of the DV with piston in and the 2 o-rings glued to the faces in first as i found that this was the only way . also make sure that the PORT on the DV is facing up and away from you if you are stood at the front looking at the engine (which you would of been doing anyway for the past 45mins i m sure :D) the port its not directly UP but one of the bolt holes is .
http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/ff360/vxr-blacksheep/04082008488.jpg
step 6 . now put the spring in and then put the top half in the braket (that has the pipes and electrical conector on ) and then on to the spring .
http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/ff360/vxr-blacksheep/04082008490.jpg
step 7 . now for the fiddley bit :o 2 of the bolts are fairly easy to get to but the one which is blocked by the air-con as you know , and as the new DV is thicker it gets even nearer the air-con so space for the bolt head gets even smaller and depending on how short your allen key is depends on whether you can do it . so i ended up using some dome headed screws as the head is shorter (so decided to use them on all of them and this is why i needed the 4mm allen as well ).
http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/ff360/vxr-blacksheep/04082008491.jpg
http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/ff360/vxr-blacksheep/04082008492.jpg
http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/ff360/vxr-blacksheep/04082008494.jpg
pipe back on and wire conected back up JOB DONE.
now its probably taken anywhere between 1-2 hours you ve got back ache sore wrists and gone through the hole vocabulary of swear words but WELL DONE .
NEXT TIME get someone else to do it .

also for zafira guys too, and the corsa one is about to come out!
i thought putting it in here would help the most people, as the majority of them have gone out to Astra owners.
Andy - thanks for you input! hope you had a good holiday ;)
Next time you pop in just ask and if we have one in stock we can see about swapping your development one over

Right, just looking at my car with the plan to get this thing fitted....
"Install your valve taking car to angle the diverter outlet 'up' the outlet pipe. (towards the sky!)"
Sorry to sound stupid, I'm a little confused as to the 'towards the sky' comment. I was told by a Vauxhall techie today that the Outlet pipe was the one coming out of the bottom of the turbo..... and thus goes towards the ground. The pipe then loops up over the engine or.....
Has anyone fitted theirs yet??

hey druff, - its the inlet pipe, i have altered that part of the guide to save further confusion. as long as the vent on the divirter valve points up you'll be fine :)

Does it change the dumping sound if you have cone filter on ? More noisey ?
On rolling road test, does it help maintain boost longer at higher rpm's ?

i got mine about 2 weeks ago, came assembled but you have to strip it down to fit it.
done it today, im a plumber so am quite mechanical and it was a challenge, it took me 3 hours, (i get wound up quick so a few 5 min breaks help a lot.
iv got a few tips as found it easier after i tried a few things.
1st.. put little dobbs of super glue in the recesses for the o-rings and glue the o-rings in as they cause a lot of problems with falling out of place. take the torx bolts off and remove the two hoses off of the turbo and push it out of the way. you dont need to take the electrical connection off to do this and you have so much more visiblity.
2nd..... on the two bolts you can use a rachett to undo them which is easier, 1/4 inch drive and extensions are needed.
3rd..... cut a 5mm allen down as shown on previous pics as this is deffo needed.
4th.... when taken off cut a 4mm allen key as shown.
5th... get the piston and casing into the hole making sure the direction goes where i needs to go at the top. then coil the spring and electrical plate. push it and locate it in, and have the rachet with 4mm + extension and put the top bolt in doing it up tight, (i tried putting 3 in at equal time and doing bit up at time but but it keeps springging the bolts out and falling appart). then do the second easiest up. it will be easier to put the bolts in now because the first one holds all the dv in place.
5th.... put everything back and test.
hope this helps a lot as i think this is some good info to do it yourself.
havnt drove it yet but hope it helps.
