CID Colour Info Displays

I am gauging interest in the CID's. I will have around 6 or 7 of these for sale. They will back to factory settings so will need to be Tech 2'd and will have the later firmware applied, which I think is 3T. They are also being programmed with all options and I will have 2 Astra trim surrounds available to the first 2 Astra customers. They will be £300 each including Royal Mail Special Delivery or I can fit and Tech 2 them if you come down. They will also have a special protective film on to cover the screen as they can scratch very easily when being cleaned, I have one on mine and it is fine. Any questions please PM me. will it work with a CD30 or is it only for the Nav HU's?

how will they work with just the cd30mp3 .. id like one of these in my motor .. but concerned as to what ill see and not !!

Apparently, they work fine with the CD30 MP3, but you just lose the adjustment for treble and bass.

so would mean you could end up having pony sounding music but a nice colour screen ??

I'm not sure, as I don't know if you reset the HU or not to install the screen. If not, you will just keep your normal settings.

Someone also did mention that you can adjust it via the wheel controls in another post, so might be possible that way. Not sure.

(Btw, can you tell I really want one? LOL)

Could i hook a PS2 up to one? I think you can with a dvd player ???

There is a thread detailing where you can get the required cables to connect a device like a PS2 or similar.

I think the cable is around £75/75 euros.

i have a cd30 mp3 and climate control lee,will this just plug in and work after its been tech 2ed.if so i assume ill just need the surround to fit,also lee you got a price on these pal

Alrite m8,really interested in the CID screen cz im fed up of my tacky standard cd30MP3 sceen but was jus wondering apart from not having sat nav,do they opperated exactly the same as the nav HU's?cz i like a all the little bits of info that they tell u bout the car n that.if u know wot im mean.cheers
