The exhaust on its own is about 1200 and the sport pack includes uprated air filters too.

Insurance - I'm 32 and it's a 425 for me and the missus. Not even garaged.

I'd definately get some quotes before buying - modded or not you are likely to be looking over 2k even if you can get insured in the first place.

For Ins on a VXR8, try A-Plan. They advertise on the V8 forum and appear to oofer very good prices, cant comment on the service though.

Well I actually only paid 77 quid to change the car on my current insurance, that expires in November so I'll look for better quotes then, who did you go with if you don't mind me asking? I'm having a tracker+ fitted too as that seems to help quite a bit.

I went with Sainsburys - no tracker needed.
It doesn't make a huge difference to the premium but there are a number of insurers that require it as a condition for theft cover.

35k isn't expensive for this car, it represents massive value. 414bhp, huge interior and rear wheel drive. Add the Walkinshaw Sports upgrade and it sounds damn awesome too. Gotta say that Chris's spend on the Sports springs where well worth it, drives alot better than standard.

the car is value for money, if you compare engine power/size and car size across the other brands you cannot touch it.
