    Lightbulb Manifold heat wrap

I was thinking of getting my standard manifold heat wrapped but was wondering what the benefits of doing this to the standard one would be? And was planning on fitting this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...#ht_2992wt_994

Any info on both would be appreciated

TBH i would not bother as this may cause the mani to crack as they are designed to expand whilst hot.

So in theory if your going to wrap it, would cause the mani to not expand to its normal size...

I maybe wrong but that is how i would look at it

Well I was only going to wrap it to try and prevent cracks but if it could cause them I will give it a miss. Thanks for the info

Heat shield on the manifold, single exhaust wrap down pipe to cat. That is good combo not risking any thing all benifits.
As for wrapping the intercooler pipes I have, it wont make a difference at speed as air going through it constantly so keeps it cool, but like the crossover sitting in traffic it absorb heat, then boosting it could put you down on power, so wrapping it up will not increase the power but will stop you losing power from heat soak.

O and Dont buy a turbo planket.

EDIT; I've noticed more pops and bangs since wrapping the exhaust. Just make sure you warm up and cool down the engine correctly.

    Hope that helps.
