Astra320 (Top Secret Spec
) I'm so JDM I don't have to drive one
can this be done? i was told you couldnt
The gearbox oil is classified as a non serviceable item so it not changed on the service schedule.
It does not stop you doing it yourself.
Royal Purple or Amsoil are the only oils I use for both gearbox and engines.
Changed over after I lost an expensive race engine to a reputable oil brand years ago.
Neither have ever failed me and the race engines (as well as daily drivers) have never looked on rebuilding or performed better.

Sorry guys, been away with work.
As i live in Australia where I buy it from prob wouldn't help you much.
What you're looking for is a 75W90 gearbox oil from either RP or Amsoil.
The RP is Syncromax, the Amsoil is the Severe Gear oil.
See if there are any UK distributers or if worse comes to worse get it from US eBay (which is where I used to have to get mine from).
Also the RP and Amsoil engine oils are, IMHO, the best out there as well.
RP XPR or Amsoil Dominator series oils are the way to go.
