They have come back and said the cause of the smoke is gonna require a compression test to determine. Either leaking piston rings or the turbo..

Will Evans Halshaw fit it/privde fitting kit as well or will I need to get someone else on it?
You can buy a compression testing kit for less than £20 and its really easy to do. Test the compression normally, then test again after squirting a little but of oil into the cylinder. I the compression is higher with the oil chances are you have worn rings. The oil acts as a temporary seal.

Vauxhall prices are far to high for me £45 for half hour is a rip off. Take it to a reputable local garage as prices will be around £35 an hour.

Will defo look in to that.

I know its an absolute joke, and regardless of the issue I know ill be horribly overpriced by them. My only concern now is that I have a 10 mile journey between VX and home. Not quite sure how I'm gonna get it to another garage without causing further damage if it is something more than the turbo?

Assuming it is just the turbo is it okay to drive?

If it is the turbo, not a good idea to drive. If the turbine is damaged bits of metal can be sucked into the engine. I you do decide to drive it, keep it at low revs

I would leave it with VX mate, not worth driving it with a potentially dodgy turbo just to save a few notes. Best of luck though.

Hi mate, I ain't ignoring u. Many people have inboxed me and I reply but ain't sure if they have it.
Mine turned out to be the turbo. I was loosing a massive amount of oil. 1ltr in 60-70 miles.
I bought a new unit from Evans halshaw in Newport. Fitted myself.
Now the car is running perfect. No smoke whatsoever.
This site is the "muts nuts". Very helpfull people on here.
