Been running my maps for over 2yrs and 25000 miles with all smiles.
My 19" VMR's and H&R's handle the power beautifully. No complaints from this badger :-)

Power wise I'm running exactly 280 on the nose ATM, had a Dyno run other day.

Id say a set of springs and a full polybush kit should get you off to a good start.

What's the average gain I could expect then from 280 with a re map mate?
I had my diesel aggressively mapped and took it from 130-188. I appreciate petrol gains are significantly less.

Around the 300bhp mark with just a map mate

If your running a 250 or 280bhp a stage1 take you to around 300bhp on both. It may not sound a great gain (more so on a 280bhp engine) but where the gains are noticed is the torque of the car and thats were it counts

And let's not forget that a mapped vec vxr puts out a good 100 bhp more midrange at around 3500 rpm if i remember correct than a standard one.

And midrange isn't exactly poor on a standard 2.8 V6 turbo anyway lol

Combine that with the almost unrivaled torque output to much else you see on the road, and you got a car that can pull quite well!
It aint about how hard you hit............ its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward!
