Even after only 4500 or so miles the gearbox oil certainly did need changing, the gear change is so much better.

I have changed it every year too

I finally got around to installing the power fold mirrors to my vxr, took three hours in total to add the extra wiring and swap over the mirror units.

I can confirm they are plug and play, no coding required. One press downwards on the mirror switch folds them in, another press and they return to normal position

I used this thread for the info

    https://www.vxoc.org.uk/forum/Thread...RORS-retro-fit

    Part numbers I used;

    LH power mirror - 13342461
    RH power mirror - 13342463
    power mirror switch - 13345014 or 13498638

ps: They are the gloss black mirror bases, you will still need the mirror glass and it's motor, plus the painted outer cover from your current mirror units

Next job on the list is to get the reverse camera working, had a slight set back with the coding. But I have a cunning plan B

Finally the rear reversing camera works

I used an interface box for the video feeds.

I also remembered to take a photo of the bonnet gas struts, I made the alloy brackets on my mill and the gas struts are just universal ebay items.
The sun makes it look bent, but it's perfectly straight

Quite happy with how my vxr looks now

Compared to the day I bought it, standard DRL

    Looking good mate!

I didn't know the J didn't have a self holding bonnet strut like the H has!

Rusty (vxoc) managed to get the Navi 950 Intellilink coding sorted, so I have removed the interface box and now the rear camera is OEM

Only downside is the display is now blue, rather than red. Obviously the VXR gtc never came with the rear camera so you have to use a different software.
The Intellilink threw a curveball, so Rusty had to spend weeks finding the right Navi 950 software which had Intellilink and the VXR option list.

Just need to decide if I really want to change all the dash LEDs to match, I prefer the blue over the red

However I always leave the display in the Navi screen, so no real difference lol
