You can fit with 3M Velcro pads if you want to avoid drilling

Are they not legal with the little slogan at the bottom...?

If not I still want a slogan if it's not legal, I want to keep the letters legal (size/font)

I'm pretty sure it's not legal and should be the plate makers name and British standard mark. Having said that I don't think that I have ever had a plate without something of my own written in the bottom. You will not be able to get it made in any of the high street type places unless you can talk them in to making you some " show plates "

What are you going to have written on the bottom?

By the law, you are supposed to have manufacture and post code of the plate at the bottom. I've seen a lot of people with as you stated above on their plates, almost all of them are aware of the this know what the guidelines are. But most tend to take the hit and have it on their heads when pulled over. Well it's either that or the Police in their local area are not that fussed.

I use HD Velcro on mine so I can whip them on and off for show plates, works a charm.

I have the Red GB and border and yet to have been stopped by the old bill and mine are the demon plates carbon 3D gel ones.

I use badge adhesive tape from EBay for mine. Perfect and sticks like mad. Avoid the foam pads they are weak and just give up
