    Default vauxhall service issue

Does anyone know when you have your car serviced at vauxhall do they effect the remap on the car? Ie: remove it?
My cars booked in tomorrow so I'm unsure wether to take it.

If a new ecu software update has been released by Vauxhall lately it will be updated in your car as part of the service procedure, therefore the map "may not work" properly.
Just make sure service do not make any update to the ecu software.

Like Fresh said, only if an ECU update is nessesary they will update the ECU and your remap is gone. There is an ECU update out there for the J so make sure you already have it or VX doesn't install it.

As above, just make sure the dealer is aware your car is remapped and ask them not to install any new updated maps.

He may not want to inform the dealer that he has a map on the car lol.

With him having so much parts on the car you don't have any warranty left anyway.

So after my service of £210. I still need to sort the gearbox transmission oil. What oil does everyone recommend? As I will be doing this myself. I will no longer be taking my car to vx for a service as this was the third one.

Either go for the vx standard oil but put in 2.4 ltrs or the millers CRX LS 75w 90 again 2.4ltrs make sure it's the LS type.
