    Default Evans Waterless Coolant

    Hello guys

Just wondering if anybody is running Evans waterless coolant and if they think it's worth it.... I'm going to be servicing my car in the next few weeks and I'm just wondering weather or not I should use this, I know it's a lot more money but that doesn't bother me as long as the car is looked after and running fine

    Thanks

Dont actually know how much this is compared to a decent premixed VX antifreeze mix, but any decent waterless coolant is far superior as it boils at 180deg as opposed to 100deg of water and slightly higher with additives and in a pressurised system which the Astra is, also if you ever get around the 100deg mark with road use ( most run at 96 very hard... mid 80's normally ) - this stuff would help look after your engine better, hence why race cars use it where high temps are present.

If you use it, needs replacing at a similar interval to the VX stuff BUT DO NOT add any water to it or antifreeze naturally ..............

Ive noticed since getting my gauges done that the water temp always rises to the 90-95c mark and thats just normal driving.

How many litres of coolant do we need?
