Or if your on a budget there are plenty of VXR breakers around who might have a OEM cat section. Try Torque Motors
That's what I want to do is keep car standard and just replace the cat and not the whole exhaust a there's nothing wrong with the rest of it.

Is there any cats out there that are the correct size already to directly replace the existing one without any adjustments? I thought there would be more on this as I've read it is a common fault on this cat.

I will try a few breakers.

You could try breakers, however you may find yourself in the same boat ..... any proper exhaust manufacturer such as JP Exhausts in Macc' can do this with their eyes closed

I'm in the same situation, there was a second hand cat for sale on eBay, bit you can never tell what life it has left.
I've opted to get a local exhaust fabricator to weld a 200 cell cat in.

Currently 2 second hand Remus front sections with cat & flexi for sale on ebay. Or buy a cat and have it welded in.. Or just go balls deep and replace it with the Enhance Performance remus de-cat pipe.

I seen those but you could get one, install it and find that it has the same fault straight away. I wouldn't trust an old cat that's that age to have much life in it.

I will see what local exhaust places there are in Newcastle.

Anyone recommend any companies up here?

Has any one used a powerflow CAT from powerflow at Tyrespot?

They are quoting for either a 100cell or 200cell sports car £250 fitted.

    Thoughts?

That's what I will be doing, but I'd recommend the 200cell.
At least this way you will keep all the original pipework but you've just replaced the cat.

I'm in the same situation as well. But can't decide whether to just de-cat or get sports cat or turbo cat? Which is better?
