Default Which air filter is best?

I've got a 2008 Corsa vxr and need to get a new air filter and not sure which one is best for the car.
Panel or cone air filter? I'm leaning more towards the cone filter over the panel filter
Also what brand is best to go for? I've noticed a lot of people are using Pipercross but is it the best one for the car? I've also seen a few people using K&N and green cotton.

Dont use an oiled filter as it causes airflow meter problems. AEM dryflow is good.

I think Pipercross is as well. I had a quick look on eBay and it came up with some K&N dry filters as well, going to stay away from K&N though, everyone ive spoken to doesn't recommend them either

Hello mate. I've got a pipercross open cone filter on my Astra H VXR and it's a cracking bit of kit. Especially on a direct route.

I think the aem is made by k&n. Its all down to what you prefer. I like the look of the aem over the foam filters.

No problem. Plus the Pipercross makes a cracking amount of noise when you take your foot off the accelerator in high revs.
