So I've now owned my first VXR a whole year and needless to say I'm absolutely loving it... Made a few threads and found a tonne of helpful info on here so figured it's about time I started my own progress thread!

When I bought the car I hadn't test driven it, or ever driven/been in any VXR for that matter... The dealership had to have the car transported from somewhere in England to Scotland after I found it on their website... Turns out it was one of the last D VXRs before the E came out- So I bought it completely blind but it's been a car I've always loved the look of and knew I'd be happy with it.
Here she is from the dealer's website at the time;
I started off making the smaller changes;
Heko wind deflectors
VXR front grille badge
Private reg
Center arm rest
LED DRLs & 6000k HIDs (have since been upgraded again.... see below!)
LED number plate housings
LED boot, welcome and reading lights
I then started toying with the idea of spray painting parts of the car but wasn't brave enough to try it in case I messed something up.... So I bought some plasti dip to play around with and done a few bits in the engine bay and the silver trim on the indicator surrounds;
I've yet to get some smoked side repeaters... think it'd look better with those!
How she looked;
Fast forward to this year and February has been a very exciting month...
I've had a custom headlight retrofit done with bi-xenon projectors, LED DRL and indicator strips, colour coded and a light up VXR logo... By far the best thing I've done to the car- the light output is just incredible!
Debadged the boot after getting the courage up to try it... Worked out perfectly;
The following day I had an SMD conversion done by Stampede- what a difference;
This is my first owned car and when I bought it I told myself I'd leave it as is...... but you lot of infectious and influential people made me see sense
Thanks to everyone who's helped me along the way!![]()
