Thanks mate, they were around £500 all in.. Varies depending what you want. Mine was full colour respray, projector, LED DRL & indicator strip and a VXR logo cutout. Drop them a message and they can give you a quote.

Fair ammount of money but I bet you were delighted with the finish mate. I might get in touch with them and find out in a few weeks time. Wallet is just about empty after buying quite a few bits and bobs haha.

The garage that done your lights were in the Glasgow area aye?

Yeah it's a fair whack but I tell you now.. You won't be disappointed. It's not all about how it looks- its mostly about the light output from the projectors they fit.. Incredible!
They were in Dumbarton when I got it done but they've moved now and are in Renfrew I think

I'd been looking for a while now at aftermarket head units and read many different reviews on many different kinds, both on and off the forum. After a long time researching and weighing pros and cons, I finally opted to buy one!

I chose the Eonon GA5156F. To summarise, I'd read a lot of bad reviews on the Eonon products and not so many great reviews but considering the features on offer with a hard to beat price tag, I decided to take the plunge and find out for myself.

This is a short write up to let you guys know the outcome and hopefully clear a few things up for anyone who, like me, might be unsure about Eonon units.

I bought my unit brand new from a London based seller on eBay, who were cheaper than through Eonon themselves. On the Eonon website, it claims the GA5156F unit will only fit the Corsa 2006 - 2011. I have a 2014 model and managed to fit mine without any modifications/adapters as they all have the same dash sizings and fittings. I've since messaged Eonon to make them aware of this, in hope they update their website.

The box contained everything I needed to get the unit fully installed, including the radio removal keys. I'd tried to pre-plan and bought the radio keys from Halfrauds the day before the unit arrived but there was no need...

So, the unit took me around a total of 2 hours to fully install but only because I was learning as I went.
First off, with the extra wiring coming from the back of the new head unit it made it quite difficult to get the unit to sit flush with the center console. A bit of fiddling with the wires, pushing them underneath/to the side of the head unit eventually worked and I got it sitting nice.
In order to get the radio (FM/AM) working, you need to splice a 12v wire into an appropriate source as it acts as a radio signal booster. After much reading on threads throughout this forum, I found the best way to do this was to get into the cig lighter and splice onto this. (The splice piece- scotchlok- came included)
Note- the GA5156F does not come with DAB included as standard, so if you have this function you will lose it. However, you are able to buy a DAB radio adapter to fit onto the back of the unit.
As for the GPS receiver, I routed it to sit under the small speaker vent after removing the clock at the top, middle of the center console. I didn't want any wiring or little black boxes to be showing on the dash.

^ The parts listed above were, for me, the hardest and most time consuming part of the whole thing. If I'd previously known how to do it all, it could easily have taken no longer than 30 minutes.

The unit is installed- what do I think of it? I absolutely love it! The processor and OS are very responsive, as is the touch screen and I haven't had any lag or unexpected behaviour (turning itself off, changing the volume etc, as I'd read on previous reviews). I've either been very fortunate to not receive a faulty unit or Eonon have upped their game in the products they develop. I can't fault the unit whatsoever.

Mine didn't come with a reverse camera, digital TV adapter, SD card with GPS maps installed or any other additional feature- purely the head unit in its most basic form. Which BTW- is still packed with features.
I had my phone (Android) connected to the unit within seconds and I can now cast my screen onto my head unit, using Google Maps as my Sat Nav (which is actually brilliant for a free app!) I can use the same function to play music, videos or generally control my phone to send messages etc. - Not that you would ever want to while driving!

Some of the features included as standard are Touch Screen, Bluetooth, WiFi, Screen Casting (Android), USB input, SD card input (Mini SD up to 32GB), CD and DVD player, an attachable mic for handsfree (there is a mic built in to the front of the head unit also), GPS and you also keep the steering wheel functions. Bonus!

I've since ordered an SD card from another seller on eBay which has the European iGo Sat Nav software and maps (updated for 2016) for under £20. I chose to buy this because as much as Google Maps is great, not all areas have good enough mobile coverage for data use.

Thanks for reading and I hope this helps someone! Before/after pics below.

Do you know if iPhone can connect ok to this head unit?
    Thanks in advance
