    Default Power upgrades?

Just recently bought an Astra VXR mk5, all body work and odds and ends I wanted are now done need to start looking at engine upgrades, anybody got any ideas where to start looking for maybe 350 bhp after a year I'd reckon, any help is appreciated currently sitting standard as of now.

Ps what is a turbo back cat/exhaust?

Welcome. Hope your pockets are deep. Where are you based?

Turbo back - from the turbo

Cat back - from the cat so just the back part

You will need turboback for 350bhp, most likely a 3" system

Look on courts at the stages yo see what you need and a few build threads on here, some are running around that.

I'd be surprised going from standard to that spec if you gave much change from 8-10k

Not cheap getting that much power from standard bud,

You would need to look at:

    3" turbo back (or a Remus that's 2.75)
Front mount cooler (dna, airtec, forge, courts)
Direct route with cdti or cone filter
    Fuel pump
Inlet mani (klassen, eds, Romanian copy)
    Forging internals
Cams with uprated single/double valve springs
Turbo it self (Owens hta k06, TD stage 3)

But then if your getting power I'd also recommend:

Big brake kit (veccy setup, ksport, Alcon, ap's)
    LSD (quaife, mfactory, wavetrac)
    Rarb (white line)
    Springs/shocks or coilovers
Solid engine mounts (vibratechnics or polybush inserts

These are just some things I'm sure people would suggest or change some of the above

You might have ran std injectors but they be very close to their max duty cycle at 340-360bhp and for sake of £160 for bigger injectors its not worth not upgrading them and getting them mapped in for safety. I would also advise an uprated fuel pump, again not worth the risk and the condition of the pump and std injectors get worse over time and their capability can suffer so it really is risky not changing both, most tuners would recommend upgrading both at that power level for safety, doesnt mean std pump and injectors cant handle that power but both on their limit and any weakness in either could be disastrous

Ye no disagreement there but yet again it's a factor of how much he wants to spend and if he wants to do it properly and again if mapped by someone who knows there **** ie rich there will be no issue running that but as stated if he wants to do it properly go all out and spend the money same as matey saying u don't need fuel pump but for £200 quid to upgrade both its well worth it

Defiantly do mine are maxed out at 340 and mapper will not touch the car again unless bigger injectors are fitted
