    Default Which Gearbox Oil?

    Hi,

    I know this has probably been asked a million times but here I go..

    Standard Astra H VXR. Want to change the gearbox oil.. What are people using that they'd suggest?

    I use redline MTL 75w/80 can't fault it box is silky smooth,think others use Titan sinofluid 75w/80. Which get good reviews too

    You've now made it one million and one.
    Any of the fully synthetics 75W90 OR 75W85 as they're all much the same

    Court/ Sport recomend Valvoline Syn Power TDL 75w-90 or Amsoil MTG 75w-90

    Fuchs Sintofluid 75-80 also worth a mention. That's what I use

    Well, thats clear as mud, several different oils to choose from. Given the reputation of the M32, I would have thought there would have been a more agreed oil.

    Tbf, GM stuff will do the job provided it's changed often enough.

    I'd have a look at the above suggestions and see what you can get cheapest

    ^^^ spot on and best advice imo !

    Oilman once stated that if you have a worn gearbox you shouldnt be using better OILs anyway as it will make the g/box even worse.


    Should you just had a g/box refurb' and have plenty of available cash - buy the best you can afford ............
