    Don't remove the main cat unless you are having the car remapped to suit.

    You will loose torque which will ultimately make car slower in real world driving, plus you'll need to deal with the EML/MOT issue as an added inconvenience.

    Mine is in for mapping (and injector upgrade) next month but i must be lucky then as I've done over 1k miles on de-cat main cat, no EML light and its more responsive than before high in the rev range and no different lower down.

    You have an 02 spacer though which will be keeping it off, and you'll need to get a dodgy MOT or mess about refitting the standard cat for an MOT.

    It will definitely be loosing torque over standard.

    I don't doubt your correct mate, but it certainly doesn't feel that way so what Im gaining in exhaust tone and high up rev range through the tweaks I've done for now doesn't seem like a bad starting point for someone not planning to map immediately after a decat.
