    Default Bulb replacements for LED

    Hi,

i have owned my VXR for about 7 month now and i have decided to get rid of the dingy yellow fillament bulbs and replace them with LEDs,

i got myself some 501 "Canbus - error free" LEDs for my number plate lights but these still trigger the dashboard notification...

has anyone replaced their bulbs on the VXR [E] and managed to get some LEDs that do not trigger the canbus system. i dont want to be buying a load of different bulbs just for them to not work (glad i started out on the 501's tbh before i got them all)

i previously had a grande punto sport that accepted these 501's with no issues (i still know the current owner) and the punto has a canbus system...

a bit of research states that different manufactuers have different tollerences for triggering the "Bulb out" notification.. which explains a bit... but now i want to find some that i know will work.

I am looking for basically all rear lights, front indicators & side indicators (not sure if indicators are on Canbus)

any help would be greatly appriciated.

Are you referring to to remark I made about the full units or the indicators being on Canbus?

    To the full units.
I don't see why you'd bother with leds in the indicators to be fair unless removing a hint of orange. Leds will need extra resistance, so they either won't work or hyperflash and even if they are brighter, which is quite unlikely, the extra brightness is just annoying to anyone sitting behind you in traffic with lights flashing in their eyes.

Your best bet for indicator bulbs would be the chrome covered halogen orange bulbs.

Can you link me to the 501s that weren't canbus compatible on the E?

Ah right that would explain it then, so something which I close to the normal power draw and then added resistors would work...
