    Default All over down under?

Was just reading January edition of Autocar in the tea shack, offshore and read about this brutal news. I'll get the rest of you discuss over this. Just wanted to highlight it and make you aware. It will no doubt be old news for some.

If you read the last paragraph of the bottom photograph, it hints at a positive outcome for owners in Oz. Not sure how we will suffer in the UK for parts. I know there are Pontiac variations of this car in US and thousands of parts out there already so shouldn't be bad.

Anyway, it sounds like the Australian car market is goosed and as a result, they're about to replace our beloved cars with a V6 car based on the insignia, which I already knew and vomited over (the V8 supercar league in Oz also been changed for a future with V6 engines I believe). I owned the Insignia VXR before my VXR8 and it's not even half the car. That will surely help the Commodore/ VXR8 get its place in history. Especially since they're gona be the very last of the massive V8's to be produced.

I see no reason why these cars shouldn't go up in value, if kept in a mint condition. At least, the really low milage ones which some of you have and especially the Bathurst.

Hope you do make the jump one day. Get the overtime bashed in 🖒. I'm supposed to be selling mine soon for immigration to Oz. That's if I can't find reasonable storage for it.

Having just come back from OZ and having experienced a 2017 LS3 power SSV VF Commodore as a hire car I can honestly say that its the end of a fantastic product and an era. Its an incredibly sore spot for Holden fans that they are getting a rebaged Insignia as their next Commodore. Going from a RWD V8 to a FWD/AWD 4/6 cylinder.

Im totally sold on replacing my Monaro with a VF Commodore in the future.

Crazy times Leeky. Proud to have been a part of it. 6 years and 50000 miles in a 6.2 lite RWD super saloon. Things will never be the same.

By the way. Good man for hiring that. Couldn't have been cheap lol
