    You know what, I don't know how much truth is in this but I heard that companies will only insure cars purely modified only. If you ask for a quote on an un-moddy car then it will be more expensive - is this true, it maybe the case with you fella.

    If the car is untouched then try Direct Line mate as I was with them prior and the service is excellent and very good value, I can say this from experience as with all companies you don't really know what they are like until a claim goes in !!

    Adrian Flux has always been super expensive for me, expensive when I was in my early 20's and the same now I am mid 30's

    Just to update, tried Direct line for the 197, £525! even before my minor bump I was getting nowhere close to £200 for a quote on any car I've ever had, you guys are very lucky
