    Just ordered one, looks in good nick, asked loads of questions i.e. Was it involved in bottom end etc

    Removed due to turbo going, car had no mot and decided to split, bottom end sold etc

    So fingers crossed, I give it a good clean

    My friend seems adamant it's small end bearings on the pistons?

    We see this weekend I swap it over

    Sounds like valves to me as well.
    Did they upgrade the valve springs?

    This, or maybe they fitted a little bit bigger than the lifters it came with.

    I would bet they fitted bigger ones.

    If you have the old ones ,measure a old one vs new one. (Do you know for sure if they changed them? )

    They are different sizes and sometimes when you order them they will bring you incorrect ones
