    Cheers guys! I own a focus st I couldn't be a traitor and get a Astra lol but can come to terms with an Aussie muscle car haha. I'm budgeting for 20k max are the vxr8s fine for that price or are they the tired models?

    £20k should buy you a nice LS3 powered E1.

    I've had two mates with E92's. Straight line performance very similar, and with exhaust mods they can sound good, but both were 20-25% thirstier than my LS3.

    Better suspension control than a (std) VXR8 though, so they are quicker if the surface is a bit choppy or broken up.

    Approximate dates (and numbers) only, but
    E1 were sold 07-09
    E2 I think there may only be 1 in the UK? E3 exterior with E1 interior

    Just to add:

    The E2 car in the UK wasn't actually sold by Vauxhall. It is a private import and is a genuine HSV GTS (not a Vauxhall VXR8 ).
    E3 wise, Vauxhall imported at least 15 plus the VXR8 Tourer. These were the first VXR8's to be sold as "VXR8 GTS" due to them being the HSV GTS model in Auz.
    The E1's were just sold as simply "Vauxhall VXR8" in the UK and were a modified HSV Clubsport R8 model from Auz. There are significantly more E1 VXR8's in the UK (well over 500) that all the other VXR8 GTS's (around 80, including the current model) added together.

    The last VXR8 model is the Gen-F, of which they made the F1 and F2 versions. And the final swan song VXR8 GTS-R which is a limited edition run is also a variant of the F2 platform.
