    Default Wrong turbo fitted. Need advice!!

    Am i right in saying that as standered the mk5 astra var comes fitted with a ko4-049. As i had my turbo replaced by a garage and the tag on the turbo is labelled as a ko4 024. I thought that the ko4 024 was fitted to the z20let and not the z20leh?

    Thinking back to my MK4 days and I'm sure that the VXR KO4 was a direct replacement in fact I'm pretty sure that even Vauxhall were fitting them under warranty.
    Did they buy it from Vauxhall direct or has it come from one of those turbo refurb specialists?

    According to Courtenaysport's site;
    "The turbo charger is a hybrid item, equipped with a better A/R ratio and stronger bearings."

    With respect I think you are getting confused.... they are usually full of shitee, but a quick glance on their website they appear to be offering either a std VXR k04 or a hybrid unit which will be the k04h as originally designed by AET, the parts originating from Owen Developments

    Perhaps worth contacting the refurb place and asking them exactly what it is and is it refurbed to be a "VXR" K04 even?
