    Question Noisy Hydraulic Lifters/Tappets

    Hello

Recently bought a Corsa VXR and had no history of a recent service so I carried out a full service including an engine flush. Since doing this I have noticed the LIfters and tappets have got louder guessing this is due to all the old oil dampening out the sound. My question is where can I buy a new set of lifters to install or can I take the orginals out to clean. I have tried Wynns Hydraulic lifter treatment with no luck.

    Thanks in advance

Haven't got hydraulic lifters on that engine mate, it's solid shims. If they are the incorrect size then they can be very noisy. Can you post a video?

It sounds very much like this, I have already done a compression test all cyclinders came between 140-150 psi.

Does it still make it when it's being revved at a constant RPM?

Does the noise get quicker when doing this?
