    Default Purchasing tomorrow. Advice?

Hi all, I'm going to look at a Corsa VXR tomorrow, 95% buying it as I've already put a deposit down.

It is a '62 plate with mileage at 16,000 priced at 8,500. Is this a reasonable price?

Is there anything I need to look out for or be wary of? What are the common faults?

Also any tips on how to keep the car healthy and running for as long as possible would be greatly appreciated.

Very excited as I'm upgrading from a 1.2 corsa so looking forward to driving something with some power 😁

Check the gearbox, any movement or whines
Rev it and hold it to about 1800 revs and see if it rattles
Check rust on the arches (shouldn't have it because it's fairly new)
Change the oil regularly as well as the gearbox oil and always get it up to temperature before booting it
I'm sure it'll come with a warranty anyway.

At speed, listen out for any whining. Bearings are apparently a common fault.

at only 16k should be all ok , as said rear bearings can go cheap easy fix , g/box can play up but doubt at those miles first thing you should do is replace g/box oil with full synth.

More of the same advice really.

Run on Tesco 99 or Shell V-Power and use Fuchs Sintofluid in the box, overfill it by about 500ml
