    Default VXR8 ABS Fault

My VXR8 (2007 LS2) threw an ABS fault last week. Stability control and ABS is disabled. Been told by a local auto-electrics specialist it's the integrated pressure sensor on the ABS control module and they are no longer available. Anyone had any experience of this fault? Can't take it to Monkfish anymore!

When did it happen? Was it cruising along or accelerating? Mine used to throw those 2 faults under acceleration and eventually a new MAF fixed it.

Thanks for the reply. Just appeared on a cold start. Actually gives 3 warnings - ABS Fault -> Stability Control Off-> Check Engine. It's not intermittent though, it comes up on every re-start. Cheers, Mark.

    Have you read....this?
Seems like your problem, bit dated but the part numbers should still be the same and hopefully you can still order them from a proper VXR8 dealer?

My LS3 exhibited the same issues a couple of years back, same warnings in the display, fault code showed ABS sensor at rear. ABS sensor sheared off when trying to remove it, eventually replaced inc new mini loom but problem still persisted. Then had the hub taken off and replaced the rear wheel bearing which incorporates the ABS pick up ring and bingo, problem fixed.

Monkfish are still open, they only take orders and post parcels on Wednesdays, email them and Roger will sort you out.

Failing that Walkinshaw are still in business and plenty options like Rock auto in the states and NewGMParts also in the states will help out.

V8, not for everyone but 10/10 for your effort.
