    Default Insurance for VXR

    Hey guys and gals.

I'm after a VXR Corsa E BUT the only thing holding me back is insurance.
I'm 19, got 2 years NCB. Has anyone got any suggestions on what company will do low insurance quotes?

    Cheers 😎

Low insurance costs at 19 😁

Best suggestion, use web comparison web sites, as everyone's insurance details are different

    What quotes do you have

    Try Aviva.
I have not found any other insurer that even comes close to their premiums.
However, they generally don't like high risk policies and at 19 on a VXR, you well and truly fall into that category. Having 2 years NCB may be enough for them to quote you. Don't expect anything short of a 4 figure sum. I know that I am able to put young drivers on my policy, but the excess goes to a few grand.
Biggest factors will be your postcode, age and driving record. The actual car makes a much smaller difference.
Speed cameras and traffic wardens are a bad idea!

    The same old story.

No companies will do "low" insurance quotes at your age on that car, at least not low enough for you to properly afford alongside buying it.

My advice would be to buy a sensible car until your are older, or buy a older "D" VXR to offset the high insurance with a cheaper car.

There is no point buying an "E" anyway at this point in time.

Give Adrian Flux a ring, they work as a broker for lots of different insurers and usually have access to some special deals! I used to use them for cheap insurance on my modified hondas when I was your age and have actually gone back to them this year for a modified policy on my E.
I got insurance with all my mods declared for just over £400 this year, however I am 31 not 19
