    Default Air filter intake pipe

Recently bought a 2011 corsa VXR and it came with an induction kit on it and I want to change it back to a stock air filter box. Currently it doesn't have the air intake pipe that the stock VXR comes with. If I was to get the air box refitted back to stock would I have to also buy the air intake pipe or is this just something that is recommended?

    Thanks

What pipe do you have at the moment? I have a standard airbox with the tx autosport solid intake pipe and seems to work well.
If you have an aftermarket intake pipe probably better to leave that on there anyway as the standard ones are quite weak and collapse supposedly.

Do you mean the pipe that goes from the MAF to the turbo?

Or the little black intake pipe thing that sits under the airbox sort of?

    Default air intake

    Hi,
the original bottom half of the Air Filter box is still in place and the induction cone just lays on top. I want to bring it all back to stock. So.... the bottom half of the box has a hole (maybe 2-3 inches) to the left which must be for the cold air intake, but has no pipes connected. According to VX there should be. I assume to take air in that's away from the engine. Is this really a necessary expense that I need ?

Sorry i misunderstood what part you were talking about in that case . . but yes there should be a pipe, Im sure you could get one very cheap from someone breaking a corsa VXR. Im not sure how much difference it makes performance wise aside some heat soak, and would undoubtedly do no harm without, but vauxhall thought it necessary when designing the car so i would be inclined to put it back on there!
