I need a new base but dont know how to fit.
Do I actually need a new base???Its the seal round the aerial base that looks well tatty
My base is also beginning to corrode on the seal. When I fit my new base i'll protect the rubber seal with products.

Best way to change it I can see mate is what has been said in here. Boot seal off and carefully work your way under the headlining to unscrew the bolt

I've been told that the best way to change the base it to go through the interior roof lining with is apparently held in place with velcro. The replacement base from Autovaux is £61. Not too sure sure about an aftermarket rubber seal.

New bases come with a new seal.

Ok so I did this today. Changed the base and sealed it with some carpro perl (awesome stuff) to protect the new seal and plastic.

Just literally follow this, if you have the right tools to pry etc it's dead easy. I would definitely recommend all the steps though to give plenty of leeway not to crimple up the headliner at any point.
