Default supercharger or turbocharger, which side are you on? ;)

Bit of a fun topic, but a serious one nonetheless.

What do you think is the best way to introduce forced induction to your car?

Superchargers are apparently easier to add, but harder to get the fuel economy. Also superchargers require more power to just get them turning

    Thoughts?

All depends on what you want, instant power regardless of revs from a SC or the mad rush of power AND torque a turbo gives.
Also SC generally needs CC's whereas a turbo just suits any size
Only ever driven 2 SC cars, 1 back in the 90s and it was nothing special (vv G60 ) and the Audi S4...goes well and sounds the part.
Only real SC car id buy is either the VXR8 or the Jag V8 XFr XKr or the Rs models of them.
And who really doesnt like the boost dump sound of a turbo

I'm not a fan of turbo sounds. The endless parade of chavs that obsess over it destroys it for me.

Yeah I notice supercharging I'd generally done mainly on big v8's with an already reasonable splash of power. Of course, it's all turbo today cause they can swindle the economy figures for the press releases ....

Interesting video to see the comparison between a turbo and supercharger installed on the same model of car as much as I love the instant power and torque from a supercharger I think it would need to be on a decent sized engine

Supercharger doesn't need exhaust gases. But needs power to work lol

Turbo all day for me. There is nothing better than when it comes on boost and the power is unleashed. Especially on big turbo cars

Turbo for me sane as above nothing better than feeling it kick in with the power. Supercharger more power right through
