Default Worth forging just to fit ko6 ?

currently running 285 bhp...340 lbs/ft with iNTERCOOLER, CONE, DE CAT.

Wanting to hit 350 ponies by adding a K06, Inlet and Top Hat, so was thinking of Forge route.

Am i optimistic for that benchmark with a K06 ?

You'll need cams too mate. And maybe meth. A stage 3 hybrid or owens hta will be your best bet. It's a fair whack of money though when you factor it all in.

And yes definitely forge for those figures, it's not so much the power but the high rpms to guard against damage. Don't forget valve springs too.

Cant afford a Garret setup, but was hoping to get over 350 mark, with a Forged Engine.

You'll need the cams and inlet to help get the necessary flow for 350. You have to realise the big restriction is the exhaust manifold. It just can't flow what an uprated nortech or garrett mani can. You need those supporting mods to be able to stretch to 350 bhp, but that is really pushing the envelope of what that standard exhaust mani can flow.

That's why people go garrett. Because it's fitted with a high flow multi tubular mani which flows much better hence you can get the boost needed.

Boost is relevant to flow and vice versa.

    I doubt you'd hit 350.

The K06 tends to not have the flow on the standard mani and tops out at 340

If I ever forged it would be for the strength only. I'd have cams and keep the K04 as that can get 330ish and once it pops go for a nice small Garrett on a cast Klassen mani

You'll need to do the rods. The standard pistons are strong enough

    10psi of boost = 350ish bhp on a stock K20 engine 🙌🏼

This is the most sensible thing I've ever seen you post Ads 😂
