Default Rev counter stopped working? But still needle sweeps?

    Hello all,

Started my car today and it done needle sweep and then nothing? Everything else works but rev counter sat on 0.

Anyone got any ideas? Feel like crying at moment as car popped up with "service car soon" a few days before, didn't know if that was because I got in it the other day and didn't wait til the revs died down before driving it off.

    Will get it scanned soon.

Anyone got any ideas with regards to the rev counter?

    Not really,

Probably a dodgy speed sensor - it might also trigger the EML to come on. You wouldn’t be the first - it’s no biggie, change the probe and everything should be fine.

For the Rev counter issue, would it be worth dis-connecting the battery for 15-20 mins. Not sure if that is any help or not.
