Default Astra h '09 project vxr spec & upgrade

    Hi all,

New on the forum. Posted an intro on newbie section. I'll not repeat it all.
I have a 1.7TD SXI. Upgrading with a mixture of VXR parts and aftermarket upgrades. NOT making it a replica as such and definitely won't badge it as one.

Already fitted VXR spoiler and skirts. Just got my new VXR front bumper and Opel grille back from the painter. To be fitted soon. Anyway here's the pics. I'll try and keep this thread updated regularly.

    Thanks VXRRy,

A couple of pics of some parts I've collected.

Aftermarket VXR style fog lights (look pretty good quality) with genuine GM conversion wiring harnesses.

Also a brand new genuine GM Opel VXR grill (freshly painted in Sovereign Silver).

I went for the Opel grille rather than Vauxhall after seeing this car.

Not sure if its a members car or not but it looks hard as nails!

I'd agree. But these builds are quite entertaining.

Thought I'd give a little on my car background...

Was a massive Nova man back in the day, had a 2.0 16v red top with 300mm front brakes and rear disc conversion. Courtenay Hi Torque cams & Grp N chip. This was in the 90's when a 21 year old could still insure a car...

Had various hot hatches since but nothing of interest for a long time...get the speed fix from my bike now.

Anyway always liked Vauxhall hot hatches, enjoy reading what you guys do to your cars & couldn't resist a bit of modification to mine.
