Yes Dalle, the service price at Vauxhall franchise in the UK for an OPC/VXR Insignia is steep. Especially if it is for one of the bigger services. I was looking at getting the service package after i bought my car and the money they were asking for was a joke. I decided to do it service by service.

yeah... the invoice shows oil at £18 per litre yet the parts counter sell a 4 or 5 litre for under £40....labour rate is the killer... over £100 per hour.
includes new cabin filter and new remote key fob battery along with the usual oily bits.... is pricey.
ive found a specialist that can do a custom upgrade clutch fitted for about £300 less than VX do a stock unit.
Overall on a day to day basis its not that expensive to run a VXR vs a cdti... however if you do big mileage and need more than one service a year it could be a different story

Besides the service, it was the same thing here in Denmark... I was quoted 2900£ for a brake replacement!! And they threw away an almost new KN panel filter despite me saying several times and ensuring it was stated on the service note that it had a replacement filter and that they shouldn’t touch it. When I asked, the technician looked all wrong and offered to pick it out of the bin! Sure, after being thrown in a bin full of all sorts of ****. So they ended up giving me a 60£ discount on a 130£ service...
