    Default E85 or Flexfuel

    Anyone had tried or researched into making a flexfuel tune/setup?

    Made my own (approx) E20 Mix over the weekend with a blend of E85 and 98 octane.

    Car runs so much nicer no more hesitation at low end (and the high end for that matter).

    I know GM is E10 certified on this car, but I wonder if theres any capacity for a E85 or flex fuel tune on this thing?

    We don't have access to E85 in Ireland/UK since 2012.
    Our governments gave us incentives to buy flex fuel vehicles and then took it all away by taxing E85 fuel to the point that it wasn't worth buying, so the suppliers have discontinued it and fuels are now about 5% ethanol.

    It's recommended not to go above E15 without tuning/conversion kit. Keep in mind that the 98 octane may already contain a certain percentage of ethanol when calculating the total ethanol content of your blend. I used to blend it up to E15 when I had a Mivec Lancer that had a preference for 100 RON.

    There are kits readily available such as;

    but you'll need to be very careful to check which are compatible with your fueling system method and injector type

    It is as you've said; E5 (approx) where petrol is concerned.

    91 octane (no ethanol)
    95 octane (no ethanol)
    98 Octane (no ethanol)
    E85: 105 octane
