    Default Eds IPF cost?!

Anyone who has bought the ipf unit with licence, how much did you pay?

I emailed Eds and they charge 650€ which is approx £560,
this is for access to stage 1 and a stage upgrade.

I wanted to be able to access any of the maps but the way they tell it you have to buy a stage 1 licence and then 150€ per stage upgrade, But I wouldnt even use the phase one.

Is it worth the cost? These are generic maps which are some years old now, seems a bit over priced to me but there’s not much else out there now where you can flash at home.

Just get a custom map mate. Less faff and by the sounds way cheaper.

My 2 cents ..... work out how far you want to tune, set your hardware. Custom map it once. .... jobs a good un

yeah, you have the right logic there....im inpatient though and I probably cant afford all the hardware I may ultimately want right now, so would have to put up with the terrible stock map for a while, the throttle response is a joke haha

I used dreamscience in the past and it was seriously dampened down

Well I'd not bother with anything above stage 3 .... so sort that out and map it.

I’m curious about hybrids, is it worth it? What’s it like?

Only of your oe one blows. There much stronger internally, so you won't have to worry about one blowing. But unless you do cams and inlet to support and utilise the extra potential you'll not get any more performed really. Maybe top end as the power doesn't tail off like a regular k04
