Bought these from the US in somewhat poor condition, so they were cheap;
4 pot front Brembos from a Posrsche 996/997
New seals, pads retainers etc;
Have to love how easy they are to deal with. No rusty pistons like half of the calipers I have to rebuild for people.
New seals
Couldn't be bothered making up caliper adapters, so bought the ones off Ebay to fit the Corsa Burg;
They take M14 bolts, so had to bore the Porsche calipers from M12 to M14 using a reamer.
Didn't want to go up to a 345mm disc, mainly due to increase in unsprung weight by using a larger disc, so had to make a few measurements to keep the 321mm disc.
Bought Pagid RS15 (Grey) pads in from Germany. Expensive, but Pagid's best;
Calculated by aligning everything that -12mm was required from the caliper/carrier.
10mm from the caliper and 2mm from the carrier decided upon.
Off to visit an engineer who owes me a few favours;
Shaved off those necessary millimeters
More test fitting;
No need for spacers, yet extremely tight, barely room for paint;
Speaking of paint, lets keep it standard looking;
Brembos stickers to replace the Porsche stickers.
High temp lacquer;
Adding lightness;
All in, half the weight of the originals
