Default Zafira VXR alternative suspension change

Hi All, I'm new to the VXR forum. I've recently purchased a bus and there is a knocking noise coming from the suspension (negotiated into the price). Sounds more like a shock absorber osf, there's also some strange knocking sound coming from the nsr.. Worse case scenario, I will be doing a change of suspension away from the OEM, can anyone tell me what is the best way to go about this? I am aware that I have to disable the IDS via Tech 2 and from what I have read so far Bilstein B12 Pros are the way to go - but are there any other cheaper alternatives? as this is a 07plate 100K+ mileage car after all. I only use the car on the road, no track use, Does anybody know of any decent specialist within the West Midlands area or within 50 miles that knows about these suspension set-up.

I've been to WMSS in Erdington, they seem to now just specialize in Saabs and isn't familiar with the Tech 2 ids+ disable. I've also spoken to Vaux Tec Ltd in Breirley Hill who seem to just conduct replacement like for like and haven't experienced actually changing to an alternative whole suspension set-up in which the original ids+ shocks are expensive.

A decent O@ C#* will turn ids off it’s not hard to do, five ten minutes.
As for shocks I’m not that fussed but others will say different.
Just finding a Good set off coils should transform the ride firm to hard depending on what you like.

A cheaper option might be to get Z20LER SRI shocks and use the VXR springs, that's what I'm going to use when I eventually replace mine, just make sure you disable the IDS first before replacing the shocks.

Have the droplinks been checked / changed? They can cause a knocking sound at the front and are a fairly common fault.

So i can use the Zafira B SRi shocks with the current VXR springs, might be a quick / cheaper option. Thanks for the replies, will have my mechanic check these items, Has anyone tried the Vogtland Suspension Kits
