Looked through the photos and it does have some Walkinshaw products installed, the badging and the sill plates. The rear DVD player, Walkinshaw do do one so they might have installed it. The black stripe is also something found on the Bathurst models which Walkinshaw produce. However, the exhausts seem to me to be Wortec. Reading the ad carefully it appears to be a standard non-Bathrust VXR8 LS2 which has been modded after the fact. I would think the Wortec catback exhaust was fitted first, then it went to Walkinshaw, maybe for a service and a few extras. Otherwise it would make sense to have a Walkinshaw catback. If it was me I would phone Walkinshaw and ask if they have any info on the car. Otherwise for a VXR8 LS2 Auto from a dealer, it looks okay. Another person to try would be James Bull of Elite Autos, he seems to deal with most of the VXR8 out there doing the rounds, a call might elicit some useful info on the car or he may have something in his stock that may interest you. Importantly, most of the customers of James Bull who post feedback sing his praises. It has to be said most of the dealers out there including Vauxhall can't tell their VXR8's from their Monaro's. (If your wondering about that, VXR8 = 4 door salon, Monaro = 2 door coupe).

How do you know about the gearbox rebuild? As Blackadder says most dealers aren't very good with VXR8's and just because it had a Vauxhall dealer do the rebuild doesn't necessarily mean it's been done well. Check why it needed the rebuild in the first place and find if the garage who did it are reputable VXR8 specialists.

He volunteered the gearbox info as Eden Prestige are part of Vauxhall franchise dealership. They were advised on the car check that the gearbox wasn’t responding quick enough to drop downs so it was taken to their franchise garage and had a rebuild. They claim to have sold several of these and were in the knowledge that th autos on these models were a little prone to delay issues??? So it was rectified by the rebuild.
    That’s what they told me.

Hi, this car has been with Eden some time. I believe it was their own car for a while then they sold it. but they had to buy it back as customer rejected it. the gearbox wasnt just slow - it didnt change gear and when it would it did it hard aggressive changes.
    the gearbox was completely shot.
The Auto boxes on these are pretty reliable so i dont know if its had a hard or neglected life ?
afterwards they tried to sell it to one of my customers without doing anything and he said it drove horrible. almost put him off buying a VXR8.
i would ask for proof of work and ask to see the invoice for the full repair as vauxhall cant repair these boxes ?
    goodluck
    regards James @ Elite

I’ve approached them again. They claim they have the full invoice for the work which was carried out at their VXR specialist depot in Reading. Don’t know what to make of it all lol.
