Poor boys trim restorer will do that mate, last about 3 months on mine, paint my front grill on with a brush ,Problem is that the car is black like yours , when its clean , you are never going to make it black as the paint. About 15 quid a bottle , much better that AG stuff, and you get about half a litre, used about 10ml in 2 years, you dont need to use much on a MF /cloth sponge disc. The MG tyre gel is going to be stick as F..k , the PB stuff drys very quickly.

It does paint over the excess polishing residue.

Have you tried using a wax on it? Had a similar issue with plastics on my Nissan, worked quite well and has lasted over a year.

Not sure if they're not showing for people, but I'm not looking for more things to try, I've already fixed them with the product i mentioned in the first post and put pics of the results in the third post

Oh god no. Waxes leave white residue. Not as bad as polish like.

Even so it's a risky business. Just my 2 cents.

It's hardly going to re blacken trim.

Default Restoring faded exterior plastics semi permanently

I’m surprised no one has mention this way of restoring the plastic...try on an inconspicuous spot first. Maybe try a exterior trim sealant after to help protect the plastic and keep it darker that bit longer!
