Have to ask why are you thinking about forging.

Standard engine or do you want to get to x bhp

all you really need is the pistons and steel rods from zzp in the states. Plus a head gasket and head bolts from Autovaux.

The bottom end should then be strong enough for 500bhp or so.

Just remember your turbo will run out of puff, so will need upgrading, you will also need a 3" exhaust to allow that to flow better and a strong clutch.

If the engine is low mileage you can even fit the rods and pistons with the block in the car. Just whip the cylinder head off.

Is it worth it = if you have deep pockets and want good power then probably, but longer term probably not - you will eventually sell the car and make a loss.

not many companies offer the service, but WG should be able to help.

    Parts:
    pistons are $500 + shipping + import duty = roughly £500
    https://zzperformance.com/ecotec/wis...ed-lnf-pistons

    rods are $450 + shipping + import duy = roughly £450
    https://zzperformance.com/ecotec/eng...onnecting-rods

Head gasket and head bolts should be less than £100, buy genuine as they are usually cheaper than pattern and better quality

Turbo - depends what you want or whats available
    Exhaust - as above

If your going for that much power, could need an uprated clutch, radiator, and the inlet will need changing.

£4.7k just for the turbo on stage 5, gives you 400-420 bhp - shop.wgmotorworks.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=115_124_197&product_id=468

No one has mentioned upgraded brakes - no point increased power if you can not stop
