Same gearbox, but some of the ratios are different …

    Corsa VXR
    1st. 3.82
    2nd. 2.16
    3rd. 1.48
    4th. 1.07
    5th. 0.88
    6th. 0.74
    FD. 4.18

    Meriva VXR
    1st. 3.50
    rest the same
    FD. 3.94

    Astra VXR
    all same as Corsa
    FD. 3.83

    Zafira VXR
    all same as Corsa
    FD. 3.94

    Ratios are different yes.

But also, AFAIK, there is different sizes of bellhousings.

So the Astra (and presumably zafira) ones will be physically bigger than Corsa ones (which i'd expect are the same as the merv ones).

Just what i said really - the Astra/Zafira gearbox will be bigger so will not have the same mounting points and probably won't even fit in the Merv engine bay.

You'd be safest just getting another Meriva box or getting your fixed.
